Christmas Recap and New Blog

Apples to Apples was a crowd pleaser for the annual Wood-Maxwell Christmas Eve dinner.

On behalf of his brothers, Caleb wrote a letter to Santa.  I love that Caleb requested Santa mass produce super computers for the benefit of mankind.

Our annal Christmas morning run tradition continues.  I love starting Christmas with these two friends.

At 7 a.m., the boys rushed down the stairs and checked out their new goods.

All smiles before diving into their presents.

Christmas stockings before presents.

When you work late on Christmas Eve, you open presents while reclined on the couch.

Legos are always a hit.

Caleb loved his new shirt too.

Christmas morning tradition: Jesus birthday cake served with breakfast.

Cuddle time before Chris goes back to work.

Cousins on Christmas.

When you work late hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas, this is how you spend the holidays.

Cooper snuggles with his baby cousin Amelia.

Baby cousin Amelia was loved on by many.

On the 27th, we celebrated with even more cousins.

Uncle Matt came to visit for several days.

New Year's Eve tradition: Japanese steak house with the Mantel Family.

New Year's Day: Ice Skating with the Brinkruffs.

The couple who skates together...

Christmas flew by in a flurry of food, family, and fun.  We stuck with our traditions:

-The Maxwells hosted our annual Christmas Eve dinner.

-I enjoyed an early morning Christmas run with two friends.

-We ate Jesus birthday cake on Christmas morning.

-Christmas was spent at Grandma and Grandpa Joseph's house.

These Christmas traditions are important to me.  I hope the boys continue these special memories with their families.

As part of my New Year's resolution, I started a second blog.  The blog is  I plan to blog everyday (or at least try to blog everyday) about my daily journey to intentionally parent my boys for a year.  In the blog, I'll record my thoughts along the way.  I still plan to place family photos and writing on this blog.

Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday season!
